Applications are available to those who are part of or related to business carried out within the timber industry from within the confines of these geographical boundaries: the area bounded in the north by the North Cape and in the south by a line drawn east/west from Opotiki through Turangi and Taumaranui to Awakino in the west (see map).
Applications for funding assistance and/or support may be initially submitted in writing to any of the Trustees at their postal or email address.
Early considerations by the Trustees will include University scholarships and timber training courses for management and yardperson positions.

Criteria
Any application for funding support must clearly illustrate the applicant’s reason for seeking the support of the Northern Timber Association Charitable Trust, and explain in detail the perceived benefits to the applicant.
The applicant may be an individual person, a company, or an organisation recognised as being engaged in the timber industry within the specified geographical region.
